a full-service commercial printer in Morgan Hill, California
serving south Santa Clara County since 1988 and specializing in
offset printing, high-speed B&W copying, color copying and digital imaging.

We invite you to explore our web site and hope you find it enjoyable and informative. You can explore any of the printing topics shown on the left by clicking on the name of the topic.

The "fun" stuff is shown below. There is a portfolio of some of our work as well as many funny or inspirational calendar backs from as long ago as 2004. If you're feeling down, go see Dr. Feel Good for some soothing photographs and words. There's even a photo collection from a trip the dog (Maggie Mae, our General Manager, and I took to Bodie and Mono Lake. Finally, a glossary is available to help you if you are unfamiliar with some of the printing terms we get to use every day. If you would like to communicate with us, please call us, or click here to send us an email message.

Hot Spot Printing publishes monthly calendars listing community events and other information.
These calendars are available at Hot Spot Printing and other locations in the South County. Click here for listing. Or, you can view both sides of the current calendar by clicking here. (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader which is free from Adobe)

The latest addition to our list of services is CD and DVD duplication. With a capacity of over 250 CDs or 125 DVDs per hour, we can meet most any need. This capability fits perfectly with our graphic design and digital imaging abilities as we can also produce the CD/DVD labels and case inserts. We can also convert your analog video from VHS, Beta and other to digital video and make a DVD for you. Check out more about this new addition.

just for fun
We've been publishing our monthly calendars mentioned above for many years. Each calendar has a second side. It's always been our ambition to include something meaningful or funny or appropriate or even inappropriate on the back of our calendars. We've collected quite a few of them over time and are making many of them accessible through a separate web page which you can get to by clicking here.
dr. feel good Guaranteed to make you have a better day. If you click here, a new browser window will open, taking you to a slide show of some peaceful, relaxing images with some thoughful sayings and nice music. When the window opens, click the "Play" arrow in the lower right corner to start the slide show. To return to this website, just close the browser window and you'll be right back here.
bodie and mono lake photos If you like the Sierra Nevada Mountains and / or you like ghost towns, you might enjoy looking through the photos you can access by clicking here. In August of 2003, our dog, Maggie Mae, and I went on a four-day adventure into the Sierras. We went over Sonora Pass and "headquarted" in Bridgeport. We visited the old ghost town of Bodie, CA as well as Mono Lake. There are some nice photos from our trip. The picture gallery will open in a new browser window. Just close it when your done and you'll return here.
glossary of terms
Did you ever wonder about "blankets", "bleeds" or "overs" when you were talking with a printer? If you did, or if you wake up one night with a compelling urge to learn some printing terms, here's a good place. We've organized it alphabetically and have included some terms that, while interesting, are no longer in use because of the change in technology. We've tried to mark them as such. Click here to access the glossary, which will open in another browser window. Just close that window when you are finished.
J and L Knives
For the man (or unusual woman) in your life, we have some really unique gifts in the form of cutlery. We've been collecting knives for several years and began selling them at Hot Spot about two years ago. We've got pocket knives, bowie knives, combat knives, whittling knives and, of course, collectible knives. All have stainless steel blades and are of excellent quality. We've never had a return! We sell all over the country through the web. To see an online catalog of our current inventory, with pictures, just click here.
